Hello Louisiana FCCLA!
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to you as your new Louisiana FCCLA State Adviser! My name is Maegan Howes. I am a full time classroom teacher, a chapter adviser, a wife, and a mother. I have been affiliated with Louisiana FCCLA for approximately fifteen years. I am a graduate and alumni member of Albany High School FCCLA in Albany, Louisiana. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education with a Minor in English Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am beyond excited to have been selected by the Louisiana FCCLA Board of Directors as a candidate and ultimately selected for this position. My heart has been in FCCLA since I was introduced to the organization my freshman year of high school. My main goal as our State Adviser is to regrow, restructure, and revitalize our organization.
I want you to know that you can contact me at anytime with any comments, questions, or concerns you may have regarding events, activities, and guidelines. Please bare with me as I navigate these new waters. If I do not have the answer you need, I will let you know that I don’t have the answer, but will get it for you. I look forward to working with each and everyone of you on a personal basis to ensure that our organization is better than our best! I can’t wait to start this period of regrowth, restructure, and revitalization.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments please feel free to email me at [email protected].
